Silk from the Source
Soy Harvest

Every drop of Silk soy beverage begins with a soybean harvest right here in North America. We work hand-in-hand with our suppliers to ensure that our soybeans meet the highest standards of quality and consistency, and we use only soybeans produced without genetic engineering.

In selecting our organic ingredients, Silk works within the rigorous guidelines of the USDA Organic Program. Canada is currently in the process of incorporating its own equally stringent national organic standards. We look forward to helping our consumers stay current on the latest developments in Canadian organic regulations as they come to light.

As part of our commitment to responsible soybean sourcing, Silk has formed a partnership with Conservation International. Working together, we've created unique soybean sourcing guidelines that support both the product integrity our consumers deserve, and the environmental and community stewardship we all depend on. We invite you to read our standards for yourself - and let us know what you think.

Of course soybeans are our highest priority, but we make every effort to be responsible in all of our ingredient sourcing practices. In addition to using organic soybeans and sweeteners for many of our products, we make our Silk for Coffee soy beverage with palm oil from a trusted source. Our supplier has pioneered responsible palm oil production, and is an active participant in the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil.

At Silk, we understand how deeply you care about the integrity and safety of the foods you bring home, because we feel exactly the same way. Learn about our commitments to wind power, organic agriculture and more.
