Organic agriculture helps support a healthy environment by eliminating the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, chemical fertilizers and biotechnology. Supporting organic also helps keep organic farmers on their land and preserve traditional farming practices.

In addition to sourcing many of our ingredients organically, Silk lends ongoing support to sustainable agriculture groups like The Organic Center and the Organic Farming Research Foundation.

In selecting our organic ingredients, Silk works within the rigorous guidelines of the USDA Organic Program. Canada is currently in the process of incorporating its own equally stringent national organic standards.
